I am in Las Vegas now for nearly 2 years and have applied, interivewed and just done this over and over, I can show that I have applied for nearly 500 jobs just since this june, mostly you dont get answers to your resume if you get an interview you have to go back 4 times, then nothing you dont hear, its frustrating, Im broke, selling stuff off just trying to live day to day, and Im not sure how to find a job anymore Due to the Carter Admin placing a penalty tax on our pension if you take it out before 59 1/2 you get heavily taxed we pay taxes 2 to 3 times on the same income that has already been taxed this law in this day and age should be removed too many people cant find jobs more are ending up on the street and I dont know my destination yet.. I have to sell stuff off ot eat, feed my dog ,pay utilities etc.. In an effort to falsely appear fair, the media is allowing the Romney campaign to get away with lying to the electorate. This crowd has been maligning this President for four years. And now, he is not even allowed to talk about his accomplishment. When he talks about Romney's record they accuse him of negative campaigning. Who is negative campaigning? Really? Who exactly is going to explain to the public that this President has actually performed very well taking an economy that George Bush left in shamble and bringing into recovery, and that you cannot bring a completely destroyed economy back to full performance over four years. I remember coming back from vacation in CA in August 2008, and being unable to get school loans for my children and waking up every morning to news of banks and businesses going out of business. There is a strategy here of muzzling the President to keep him from putting in front of the country what he has accomplished. Somebody better finds a way to circumvent this ambush. The republicans have been trying to put the President in a straight jacket and they are succeeding. They get the media complaining about the economy without prefacing that before you can get out of a hole you first have to dig your way out; that is double jeopardy. This President should be commanded for his efforts. There is also this idea floating around that the President is not talking about substantive ideas for the nation - that he made things worse. He made things worst? Incredible! How about this idea that the President did not keep his promises from 2008? Are you kidding me? Health care, ending the war in Iraq, getting Bin Laddin, repealing don't ask don't tell, fair pay, immigration, education, energy, the economy, and on and on - what else do they want from this man in four short years? When he tackled the medicare issue and tried to save money they say he stole; when he tried to work with the states to enhance welfare reform they accuse him of being a welfare president. Who is going to address these lies. They are all an attempt at bounding the President and blindfolding the American people. This is as scary as what those republicans have in mind for this country. I am a Values Voter: I value Truth. I expect truthfulness from my leaders, from the media, and from those with whom I do business. I will vote for those who will oppose deception, and who will pull back the curtain to expose the powerful forces that spread the seeds of hatred and discord to further their own ends and divide our nation. I am a Values Voter: And I am not a fool. I know perfectly well that corporations are not people. I expect my leaders to see the obvious also, and proclaim, “The Emperor has no clothes.” In fact, he is not even a human being. I further know that there is no true legal precedent for this posturing; only a comment made in a header by a court reporter (Santa Clara County vs. Southern Pacific Railroad; Thom Hartmann, Unequal Protection), and yet our nation is imperiled by the flood of corporate and foreign money being injected through this falsehood into our domestic elections and into the pockets of our Senators and Representatives. I will vote for those men and women who will clean up this outrage against the real people – we the American people. I am a Values Voter: I value the right to vote as much as I value my citizenship. I will demand that my leaders safeguard free and fair elections by taking secretive, proprietary black boxes out of our election booths – and putting a clear, transparent paper trail back. I am a Values Voter: I believe that meaning in life derives from how I relate to my family and friends, and whether I have a positive impact on my community and the world – not from how many riches I amass for myself. I will vote for leaders who share that moral perspective. I am a Values Voter: I believe in the power of Love over hate, kindness over cruelty, creativity over destruction, honesty over deception, cooperation over greed, and hope over despair. It is not Angle's nor Reid's job to create jobs for NV. It is their job as a senator to create a Bill or vote on Bills that create a more favorable situation which will allow the people in NV to create jobs. The false ads from the Reid camp are showing their people and supports in an unfavorable light, not that he cares. Reid didn't save 20K jobs for City Center/MGM. He now has created a situation where monies from the newer phase, City Center, to go out of the USA! Ok how informed are your speakers? Jobs at MGM were cut to allow for the keeping of the construction workers to finish City Center....and now where is MGM and City Center and those construction workers? Think it through before you give such credit to a one man show like Reid. Although I myself am not old enough to remember the great depression my parents lived through it. Fortunately they also chose to share some of the trials and tribulations of surviving in those troubled times. My mother and father both told me tales of working, doing laundry, cleaning barns and stables, and yes bartering chickens, fruit, vegetables they grew, eggs, and milk from their farm for services and items of all sorts they and their family needed to survive. As educators expound to us, there is a necessity to study our history and to LEARN from it. It seems the people you exhort in your ad are as ignorant as you are. Remember, those who do NOT learn from their history are bound to REPEAT it. As far as what has occurred to date, the recovery is on almost the same course it took in the Great Depression for this Great Recession, words aren't they wonderful. You really need to look to history as well, and you will find that YOU and I are neither too big to fail. The number one thing causing the uproar in the US today is the fact that our elected officials have agrandized themselves to the point that they do not feel that they need to respond to the wishes of the populace that elects, empowers, and pays them.
